The One with The Turquoise Room

There aren't many great eating choices here in town (besides Root Beer Stand, of course). But if you look past all of the fast food and mediocre restaurants, you will find this little jewel at the La Posada called The Turquoise Room. They have a nationally recognized, award-winning chef with an amazing menu. Sure, the prices are a little higher than we are used to paying and the atmosphere isn't quite kid-friendly, so it's not somewhere we go all the time.

But you know you've had a good week when you got to eat there three times!

On Monday, I went to breakfast with some girl friends to celebrate my birthday. It's a tradition that we've been doing for a year now and we try to go whenever one of us has a birthday.

Then on Friday, Steve and I went on a dinner date with 4 other couples to celebrate a few people's birthdays (including Steve's). We were planning to go to Flagstaff to eat Teppanyaki, but there was a huge snow storm. Who would've guessed in April? No one complained though cause we had a great time with some fancy food, complete with a souffle for dessert!

Finally, on Saturday a friend and I treated the Missionaries to lunch. She is getting baptized next week and had her final interview afterwards so we wanted to take them somewhere that they would remember. I think they were impressed.

Out of all three menus, I have to say lunch is my absolute favorite, with breakfast coming in at a close second, and finally dinner. Oh, my mouth is watering just thinking about it. It's going to be hard to top last week...

thank goodness this isn't a post about your latest craft, sewing project, or baking project....

jason and i always talk about the turquoise room. we ate there for our 1 year anniversary as bf/gf and loved it. I'm guessing many more special occasions will take place there.

Sounds like it is going to be hard to eat meatloaf for dinner or sandwiches for lunch this week.
