For part I of our summer vacation we drove to Austin to visit Ray (Steve's brother), Kasey, Luke and Joshua. If I had to describe our vacation in one word it would be: food. We ate, and ate, and ate! We ate at our favorite BAR-B-Q place Rudy's several times (too many too count), an awesome mexican restaurant called Matt's El Rancho (you know it's gonna be good when it has El Rancho in the name), and a fancy place overlooking Lake Travis called The Oasis (we ate outside on the deck and it was only 200 degrees with 100 percent humidity-awesome). For dessert every night (and even morning for Steve) we enjoyed the wide variety of Blue Bell ice cream flavors that are not available in Arizona.
We did do a few other things besides just eating. We went to a great park that had a choo-choo train, visited the Austin Children's Museum, toured the Blue Bell creamery, and stayed up late playing Settlers of Catan every night.

To commemorate our trip we tried to get a group picture using the self-timer on our cameras. Instead we got an action shot of Ray running to get into the picture.
