The One with Home Sweet Home

It's always good to go on vacation but it's always good to come home, too. Especially after being in that humidity. It was hot and sticky, and my hair got a little crazy. Tatum must take after me because hers did too. It reminded me of an oompa loompa.

Driving across the country wasn't as bad as we thought it was going to be. We drove 3, 722 miles across 9 states and only got one traffic warning! The kids were awesome (thank-you portable DVD player) and we had fun visiting family. I'm pretty sure Talan has the coolest cousins in the world. He had a blast playing with all of them, and we even brought home two of them (my nephew Ryan and niece Courtney) to surprise my parents.

My favorite quote of the trip was when Tatum woke up way too early and stood up to look at us. Steve said, "They should make lids for pack-n-plays."

Ah, Steve's comment made me laugh...hard. Funny! So, did you guys switch cars for the drive home? That's a lot of miles- well done guys.
