We went to Phoenix to watch the Winslow boys and girls basketball teams play in the state tournament. And, for a little R&R, of course. Here are some dos and don'ts that we learned from our trip:
Do use Priceline to get your hotel. You can stay at places like this for a great price. Works every time!
Do bring glow-in-the-dark pj's for your toddler. You will know where they are and what they are doing at all times in the dark hotel room.
Do try a new restaurant. We went to P.F. Chang's and it was wonderful. Love the lettuce wraps.
Do go watch an ASU basketball game. Especially if it's their last regular season game and they win.
Don't try to make it from Phoenix to Winslow in two hours and ten minutes. Probably not safe and you could get a ticket (although we didn't).
Don't think that you will actually get good seats at a high school state basketball game. The entire Navajo Reservation will already be taking up the whole arena.
Don't go test drive new cars just for fun. It will make you really want a new car even though you don't *need* one.
Don't eat at the same restaurant two nights in a row. You might get sick in the middle of the night, which sucks at a hotel.

don't buy a new car if you're only going to fill the extra seats with cardboard people and stuffed animals.
Ticket- funny (and sad)
What did you test drive?
Nice hotel!
Entire Navajo nation- funny.
Sorry about getting sick- same thing happened to me the first time I went to P.F. Changs- we're not fans.
MMMMM I love P.F. Changs! Sounds like you had fun! And I LOVE priceline!
YUCK! The last one would ruin my whole trip!
talan + glow in the dark jammies = awesome!
