The One with the Trip

I may be taking a trip to Nebraska in the near future. Why Nebraska? Because they have a safe haven law which allows parents to abandon unwanted children with no questions asked. Anyone want to carpool?

Just kidding! I would never abandon my children. It's just that lately I feel like we have been taking one step forward and two steps back. Tatum had been sleeping through the night for the past two months but now gets up once or twice. I feel like a zombie. Talan was oh-so-close to being potty trained but has seemed to have forgotten where his pee goes (hint: it's not on the floor next to the potty). However, Talan did make it through story time at the library yesterday without getting up or making noise! I don't think he actually listened to the story because he was busy ripping his name tag into little pieces. But still.

I know it sounds so cliche, but I love my kids more than anything and couldn't imagine life without them. I guess they are just keeping me on my toes!

Oh man I will totally pay for gas! LOL We are having the same things at our house, rory wants her diapers back, when you ask bailey if she wants to be a big girl and go potty she cries and says "me your baby, me NEED bipers" and I am fairly certain they are all going completely deaf because nobody moves a muscle when I tell them to do anything! LOL I read a neat qutoe the other day "In the scriptures we always read and it came to pass, it never says and it came to stay." LOL Good luck! When are you bringing Blokus over to play? :)

Oh my goodness...I'll come. Except, I'll just meet you there. We can go Thelma and Louise for a weekend and then go get our kids back. I know what you mean...remember the sit of shame? That was a big step backwards, but we've made it through. Just keep doing what I do: repeat over and over "this is just a phase."

Kim...This is not a phase. Talan is in a permanent state, he will remain in forever!!!

I suppose he can just come live with me.

Love, Moni

I hate to say this, but Brandon is 7 and still has issues getting the pee INTO the toilet. He's oh so close...on the rim, the lid, the little crevices at the base, the floor...

I can't remember when we started making HIM clean it up himself.

HA! Great opening paragraph! I could barely get through the next paragraph because of the tears of laughter in my eyes.
With your sense of humor and love for them you'll survive it all and cross the finish line with great kids. Just keep running...
